The Team

The Leverage Federal Team is looking for a Pre-Sales Systems Engineer (CSE) with strong communication skills, the ability to quickly form relationships of trust, and is a self-starter, polite, presentable, confident, organized, creative, as well as possess the ability to prioritize tasks. The position will also include the opportunity to work directly with end-users during the deployment of Cisco products and other related technologies. This person will partner with our Account Executives in a pre-sales technical role, showcasing Cisco and other complementary product solutions. This position entails direct account and partner-related responsibilities for selected accounts while assisting the team with their needs and objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide high-level and detailed solutions/technology/product consulting, technical and sales support in assigned territory and technology.
  • Travel (15%-30%) to customer sites with account team or in a support role.
  • Understand business requirements for customer base and have the ability to translate them into technical requirements.
  • Facilitate better communications and understanding of customer requirements while providing them with direction with all levels within the organization.
  • Create, present and document technical solutions including building accurate bills of materials.
  • Perform in-depth and high-level technical presentations for customers and prospects.
  • Direct and assist in the development of formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities. Provide consultative support to other Team Specialists and team members.
  • Provide business level guidance to account team on technology trends and competitive threats.
  • Must have multiple areas of technical specialization.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must have CCNP, An active CCIE is preferred
  • Must be passionate about pleasing the customer
  • Associates Degree or higher in the field of Computer Science, Engineering, or Telecommunications preferred.
  • 2-5 years related to Network Engineering experience.
  • Proficient presentation, strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understand and be conversant about company, competitors, technologies, solutions, product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.

Summary:  Coordinates activities of personnel engaged in purchasing and distributing materials, equipment, and supplies in an organization by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, gather and sort documents for entry to the database
  • Check source documents for accuracy
  • Verify data and correct data where necessary
  • Obtain further information from co-workers and vendors
  • Update data and delete unnecessary files
  • Combine and rearrange data from source documents where required
  • Enter data from source documents into database
  • Transcribe information into required electronic format
  • Scan documents into document management systems or database
  • Check completed work for accuracy
  • Respond to requests for information and access relevant files
  • Print information when required
  • Process RMAs (for DOA product or Customer / Client Error) as turned in with the sales team
  • Request RMA from Vendor, enter into the system, follow up with customer / vendor for return credits / tracking information
  • Receive and review purchase orders placed and verify accuracy with the vendor
  • Communicate with suppliers for delivery issues and expedite when necessary
  • Work with lead estimators to expedite items, as needed
  • Receive invoice and attach PO and shipping documentation
  • Pull online statements and maintain supporting documentation, such as order confirmations, invoices and receiving documents and updates all pertinent information in the database.
  • Alerts lead estimators of estimated shipping dates and communicates if there is going to be an issue to meet a required delivery date
  • Investigates other possible vendors if delivery dates are too far out to meet client needs
  • Performs other position duties as assigned
  • Orders Cisco Smartnet once Cisco Hardware has shipped, prints purchase order for receiving to bill against
  • Maintaining the purchasing policy and ensuring that all purchases adhere to it.  This includes but is not limited to: purchasing from safe and approved vendors, researching vendor policies for vendors that have never been ordered from before, requesting that accounting get established terms.
  • Liaison with other departments, particularly the accounting, sales and operations departments regarding inventory management when orders are placed.
  • Budgeting, costing and cost saving after reviewing the order package.
  • Send purchase orders to suppliers and verify that they have been received within the approved time frame.
  • Interact with the suppliers on a day to day basis.
  • Review deliveries against the orders for product being delivered to HQ.
  • Ensure that any invoices are sent to accounting for payment that are emailed to purchasing.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:  This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Education/Experience:  High School diploma or GED and one to two years’ office experience preferred.

Certificates and Licenses:  No licenses or certifications required.

Computer Skills:  Proficiency with computer usage especially Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook; accurate typing, 10-key and data entry skills.

Language Skills:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, software manuals; write simple and routine business reports; verbally communicate effectively in a professional manner.

Math Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Lead Structured Cabling Technician (Journeyman 06)

We are looking to hire a Lead Structured Cabling Technician (Journeyman 06) who will be responsible for installing and servicing voice and data cabling systems in the Puget Sound area. The job sites are mainly in the Seattle/Tacoma area but the position will occasionally have remote assignments.

Essential Duties:
• Terminate cables on cross connects, hubs, and routers
• Use cable testing equipment to troubleshoot problems
• Monitor cable system performance
• Provide new users with cable and modular connections, and relocates cable connections for existing users
• Read technical manuals and brochures to determine equipment that meets establishment requirements
• Visit vendors to learn about available products, enhancements, or services
• Test and evaluate hardware and software to determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing systems
• Oversee or assist in installation of communications hardware
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor equipment repairs

Shift: This is a full-time position. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00 am-4:00 pm with occasional after hours or weekend work.

Qualifications:
• GED/High School Diploma
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License and current Journeyman Electrical 06 license
• 2+ years of experience as a Telecommunications Technician
• Experience installing structured cabling
• Experience with telecommunications cabling copper (CAT 5e, 6, and 6A), fiber optics installation, and termination
• Leviton or Legrand Certification is preferred
• Must be able to climb and carry ladders up to 28 feet tall and carry heavy equipment such as boxes, spools, and cabling materials
• Pre-employment background check and drug test is required
